People with naturally straight hair will never be able to appreciate how much work is required to keep kinky-curly Sub-Saharan African-type hair soft, neat and detangled in an unplaited or unstraightened state.
Straight hair is much easier to manage than kinky or curly hair. (Ask any woman with a tight curl hair texture.)
It has been said that people with ADHD can often hyperfocus. Can that be an advantage?
And short-cropped or close-shaven hair is easier to maintain than a voluminous, fluffy, curly mane (a la Chaka Khan).
